Palm Sunday!
A tradition at the Coldwater United Methodist Church is to have the children carry palm branches to the altar on Palm Sunday. These two might have had just a tad bit too much fun waving those palm leaves!!
I don't have the words to express what a blessing our church family is to us and how grateful I am that they go out of their way to make things fun & engaging for the kids.

What can I say about this picture?
This afternoon/evening we spent time at our school carnival! Preston's class had a BINGO booth that we worked at and then played lots of carnival games. Among them were the ring toss, beanbag toss, football throw, train, moonbounce, fishing, bucket toss, cake walk, duck pond, crazy hair, face painting...but the most interesting game of the night goes to...toilet paper toss!
Cambree thought it was pretty funny to see a toilet in the gym!
I have to say I was just happy to see it lined with a plastic bag...GROSS!

We have been doing at Easter Egg Countdown {more on the other blog} and today our egg said to "Make an Easter Treat and EAT it!"
So we made bunny shaped rice krispie treats and decorated them with icing and sprinkles that Grandma Robin gave us. We tried putting them on popsicle sticks, but they were too soft! We like our rice krispies on the soft side!
Westynn has a puff in his mouth...no rice krispie treats yet! But notice the measuring spoon. A baker in the making!!

This has to be one of my favorite stories for my 365 project so far!
Today we were having a planning meeting for our church dinners with the Kitchen Krew around my dining room table. We were deep into our brainstorming and planning when the doorbell rang.
In walked the son and daughter-in-law of our fearless leader, Pat H. She had reminded her son for several days that her birthday was coming up and mentioned to him that he always seemed to forget it. So to prove to her that he cared, they called the husband of another Kitchen Krew member to find out where the meeting was and they came and suprised her with a plant and a gift. We all sang Happy Birthday to her and of course I had to document it before they could leave and our meeting could continue!
I hope my kids will do that for me one day! I can't wait to print this picture and share it with my friend Pat!

What should have taken us 6 hours took us 10 today! That's what I get for trying to take a road trip alone with three kids. It was worth it though to spend some time with family.
{I am really loving this picture for some odd reason...I shouldn't considering when it was taken! I think I like it because it speaks volumes about my life in general; a good portion of it being spent "on the road".}

This is my Grandma Betty, my dad's mom, with my three kids. Right now they are her only Great-Grandkids and it makes me so happy that they know her and love her. And that she is still able to enjoy them as well!
Not many kids get to know their great-grandparents and I hope one day these three will look back and know how truly fortunate they were. {I feel a blog post coming to the other blog.}

Me and the office help!! Carolyn took this picture of me and the rugrats at the church and I absolutely LOVE IT!
I love that the boys have on camo, the girls are in bright green, Westynn is looking at Preston and we all look like we are having fun!
Don't get me wrong, there are often moments of exhaustion and desperation at the church. But we are also really lucky to be able to "go to work" together and have some fun too!

Hard to believe this little boy turned 2!! Were does the time go? We are glad we got to go down and help Jaris celebrate his birthday.
He LOVED the really loud, obnoxious gun we got him. His mom, not so much!! But I warned her at Cambree's party that what goes around, comes around {ie. 500 beads for bracelets!!}

Parent - Teacher Conferences today! Preston got an excellent report from Mrs. Jackson. She told us that he is a great student...very smart, kind to others, follows directions and she loves to hear his stories during show-n-tell! He got satisfactory marks and is at or above all of the progress marks.
Preston, Momma always knew you would be a good student. Thank you for proving me right and making your Dad and I SUPER proud of you!!!

Hangin' with Alyssa, playing the Wii game that she brought over! We just love this girl. The kids adore her and she is soooo good with them. What will we do in a few years when she leaves for college?
Notice the HUGE pile of laundry on the couch? The kids have been folding their own laundry and putting it away. I sort it for them and they are responsible for the rest. It's working nicely...except that the clothes don't get folded, mostly just shoved into drawers. But I keep telling myself that they will learn over time and it is saving me an incredible amount of time with the housework!
